• Center for Nanotechnology for Sustainability
  • Center Mission
  • Our society is currently plagued by serious energy and environmental crisis, and the needs for addressing these problems are of urgent importance. Chemical sciences are central for the quest to find solutions of issues raised by the society. The Center for Nanotechnology for Sustainability is established to promote development and implementation of new solutions for sustainability with the aid of emerging nanotechnologies. The center mainly consists of two research units: Chemistry covering entire spectrum of chemical sciences and Chemical Engineering including nanotechnolgy and materials science. Currently, 8 full-time faculty members are actively working in these units, and the number of faculty members will be increased significantly in near future. The Institute encompasses three research centers: Center for Green Chemistry and Processes, Center for Artificial Photosynthesis, and Center for NanoBionics.
